On June the 28th the Dutch Petrophysical Society had a technical seminar and the annual general meeting. The seminar was centered on Rock Physics with the speakers Dr. Aletta Filippidou (Shell) and Reza Saberi (CGG). The titles of the presentations were: ” The Acoustic Signature of Deformation in the Lab” and “Rock Physics Integration: from Petrophysics to Simulation”.
Concerning the Annual General meeting we have reviewed the last year’s DPS activities and an overview of the SPWLA 2018 was presented. Also, the new board was presented with Iulian Hulea becoming the new DPS president. In addition, Chris Harris (Shell) has joined the board as VP Technology.
