On June 1st DPS held annual general meeting and quarterly talk on the topic of Operational Geomechanics.
At annual general meeting activities of the board and financial overview was presented to the members and board positions were handed over to newly elected board.
Peter Schutjens (Shell) presented his talk on ‘’Operational Geomechanics; an interdisciplinary topic’’ addressing the operational issues and job profile of an operational geomechanicist and its relation to other disciplines.
A talk on ‘’Transformation in minimizing operational risk with Geomechanics’’ is given by Surej Kumar Subbiah (Schlumberger) with overview of best practices in building a Shared Earth Geomechanics Modell and its applications for operational planning, drilling and completion activities.
Diverse audience from operator and service companies, consultancies and students shared their views on the topic after the talks and during social hour.
