On March 11th Iulian Hulea presented his talk on ‘’Understanding fundaments controls of hydrocarbon saturation: from stress corrections to perched water contacts’’ to SPE Netherlands chapter.
In first part of the lecture; the origins, recognition and modeling concepts of perched water and their impact on recoverable reserves were discussed.
Second part of the lecture discussed saturation height models, effect and applicability of stress corrections on capillary pressure data and their impact on saturation models.
Audience engaged in livery discussion on both topics during and after the talk. DPS would like to thank all attendances and a speaker for an inspiring session.
